Hoddesdon is a town in the English county of Hertfordshire, situated in the Lea Valley located in the Borough of Broxbourne. The town grew up as a coaching stop on the route between London and Cambridge.


Hoddesdon town has the benefits of a weekly market on Wednesdays and Fridays. Local community events such as fund raisers and fairs take place once or twice a year, bringing the local area together.  



Broxbourne is a commuter town in the Broxbourne borough of Hertfordshire in the East of England. It is located 17.1 miles (27.5 km) north east of Charing Cross in London and about a mile (1.6 km) north of Wormley and south of Hoddesdon.


 The town is near to the River Lea which forms the boundary with Essex and is 4.5 miles (7.2 km) north of the M25 motorway. West of the town are Broxbourne Woods, a National Nature Reserve.


 Broxbourne has the benefits of having a train station with direct links to London Liverpool Street within 30 minutes. The train line can also take you direct to Tottenham Hale within 20 minutes, where you can get on the Victorian tube line. 




There are regular services to London Liverpool Street with stations at Theobalds Grove, Waltham Cross, Cheshunt, Broxbourne and Rye House (Hoddesdon).  To the north, the railways provide direct access to Cambridge and Stansted Airport.





The Borough benefits from good bus links to and from Waltham Cross bus station. The bus station serves as the main terminus and starting point for local bus routes, linking the Borough with North London, Hertford, Waltham Abbey, Loughton and Potters Bar. Waltham Cross has Transport for London services heading south towards Enfield and Turnpike Lane and north, east and west towards Hertfordshire and Essex.


The National Concessionary fares scheme entitles all qualifying disabled and over 60's to free off peak local bus travel within England.  In addition Hertfordshire pass holders will also be able to travel at any time on bus services across Hertfordshire.

The Borough of Broxbourne is conveniently located for London Luton (45 minuet drive away) and London Stansted airports which provide national and international links. Coaches make regular journeys to these airports and the Stansted train service stops in Cheshunt. Because of the Borough's easy access to the M25, London Heathrow and Gatwick are also accessible
